Text transcribed from caption: P-31812 NAMED TO MOSCOW MINISTRY PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- The Rev. James L. Barkenquast of Philadelphia, Pa., clergyman of the Lutheran Church in America and an editor of the denomination’s Board of Parish Education, has been named as the next Protestant chaplain to the English-speaking community in Moscow. He will succeed the Rev. Donald V. Roberts of the United Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A., whose term expires in mid-1965. The Moscow ministry, launched in 1962 and administered through the National Council of Churches, is supported by the Lutheran Church in America, American Baptist Convention and United Presbyterian and Protestant Episcopal Churches.
