Krol of Philadelphia; and Protestant Episcopal Bishop Robert L. DeWitt of Pennsylvania. The joint statement was also signed by local Baptist, Lutheran, Quaker, United Presbyterian, United Church of Christ, and Jewish leaders. For the first time in this city, many of them attended a Mass offered for racial and religious harmony by Archbishop Krol in the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul.
