Moving day for Negro nuns.
Text transcribed from caption: C-31142 MOVING DAY FOR NEGRO NUNS NEW ORLEANS -- Nuns prepare to move from their headquarters in the French Quarter of New Orleans. The Sisters of the Holy Family, a community of Negro nuns, have sold the structure -- once known as Orleans Ballroom -- and are moving into a suburban area. They plan to build a residence and an academy for girls. The Sisters will welcome the quiet and serenity of a rural home -- for years they have had to stand the jazz music at late hours from nearby nightclubs and the din of revelers in the street.
