Text transcribed from caption: C-30998 CARDINAL CONSECRATES SEMINARY BELLS WESTON, Mass. -- Richard Cardinal Cushing, Archbishop of Boston, consecrates three bells for the Pope John XXIII National Seminary for Delayed Vocations in Weston, expected to open in September. He is shown anointing one of them with holy oil. The ceremony also included the “washing of the bells” and an incensation. Assisting the cardinal are Msgr. Henry J. O’Connell and Msgr. Cornelius T. H. Sherlock, archdiocesan consultants. The bells were named for St. Francis Xavier, St. Francis de Sales and St. Francis of Assisi.
