LOUIS, MO. -- Officers of the Midwest Clergy Conference on Negro Welfare confer at the organization’s three-day meeting at St. Louis. Left to right, they are Father Matthew Gottschalk, O.F.M. Cap., of Milwaukee, vice-president; Father Bernardin Patterson, O.S.B., of South Union, Ky., president; Father Clement Faistl, of Columbus, Ohio, secretary; and Father Philip Allen, of Wichita, Kans., treasurer.
