Text transcribed from caption: C-30962 PRINCESS IRENE SEES POPE AFTER WEDDING VATICAN CITY -- Pope Paul VI receives Princess Irene of Holland and Prince Carlos Hugo of Bourbon-Parma after their marriage in the Borghese Chapel of the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. The pontiff granted the couple a ten-minute private audience in his library on the second floor of the Apostolic Palace following the Rome ceremony. Officiating at the wedding was Paolo Cardinal Giobbe, former Papal Nuncio to Holland. Princess Irene, 24, a convert to Catholicism, has renounced her rights to the Dutch throne.
