CHURCH OF SCOTLAND REACHES OUT TO WORKERS

GLASGOW--Shipyard workers at Port Glasgow, Scotland, are joined during

their lunch break by the Rev. J. Cameron Wallace (seated, third from

left), a Church of Scotland chaplain taking part in a new outreach

program. Accordinig to Dr. Murdo Ewen Macdonald, theologian at Trinity

College, University of Glasgow, the placement of chaplains in factories

and shipyards is proving exceptionally successful in building interest

in the church among "people who have never had much interest in us."
