58th AMERICAN BAPTIST ANNUAL MEETING

SAN FRANCISCO--Some 10,000 delegates and visitors from 40 states

attend the American Baptist Convention's 58th annual meeting in San

Francisco's large Civic Auditorium. The theme of the five-day conven-

tion emphasized the work of the Holy Spirit and the demands of the Gos-

pel in relation to basic current issues.
