VERMONT TOWN CONSIDERS COMMUNITY DOME TO REDUCE HEATING COSTS
WINOOSKI, Vermont--Town Mayor James McCann, right, of Winooski,
Vermont, and President Edward L. Henry, of the local
St. Michael's College, were two of the officials at a recent
symposium on community heating, held at the school.
The two-day conference featured a keynote speech by R. Buckminster
Fuller, self-styled prophet of the geodesic age, and explored the
possibility of building a heat-saving dome over the city's 850 acres.
