C-32880 RELIGIOUS FOLK-SINGERS A HIT

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Some 2,500 persons joined priests, Brothers and

other religious in a hootennany at the Shrine Mall of Catholic Univer­

sity of America in Washington. Top are some of the religious who

performed as modern folk singers or instrumentalists. They included

Oblates, Dominicans, Augustinians, Marists and Carmelites. Below

are some nuns in the audience who kept up the beat with the performers
