- Text transcribed from caption: P-30892 ACTOR PRESENTS MOBILE CANTEEN TO LWF HONG KONG -- Actor Kirk Douglas and his wife eat warm milk porridge and biscuits with youngsters in Hong Kong. Acting on behalf of the U.S. Consultate [Consulate] General, the traveling couple presented a mobile canteen to the Lutheran World Federation as a gift from the people of the U.S. The Rev. K.L. Stumpf, LWF World Service director in Hong Kong, said the canteen will aid in serving some 25,000 underprivileged boys and girls. The LWF operates four such canteens, four milk bars and 20 feeding stations for low-income families in the densely populated sections of Hong Kong.
