- Text transcribed from caption: PROTESTANT GROUPS UNITE TO SERVE COMMUNITY #2071 BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- Since February, 1944, a group of Protestant denominations have banded together here to work with the New York Mission Society in the administration and financing of a united, interracial religious and social service effort in the Navy Yard-Fort Greene area. Cooperating bodies have been the Brooklyn Council for Social Planning, the Brooklyn Church and Mission Federation, the New York City Mission Society, and Protestant Episcopal, Congregational, Presbyterian, Baptist and Methodist groups.
