It was to continue on to meetings in Liberia and Sierra Leone before returning to the U.S. shortly before Christmas. Left to right, the U.S. musicians and singers are Gilbert Moergerle, Pittsburgh; Jay Platte, Indianapolis; Steve Edwards, Syracuse; Ed Johnson, Detroit; and Jim Bolder, Muskegon. - Title
- Pope Paul's 'Sunday School' class.
- Description
- Text transcribed from caption: C-30726 POPE PAUL'S 'SUNDAY SCHOOL' CLASS VATICAN CITY -- Pope Paul VI converses with Roman youngsters in a "Sunday school" format. After attending evening services at the Our Lady of La Salette church in Rome, he motioned to a group of children, ranging from 8 to 14, to gather around as he asked questions about the Church. Here the pontiff and his audience smile broadly as he quizzes an altar boy. Credit Must Read: RELIGIOUS NEWS SERVICE PHOTO (W-NY-3C-64-W)
