- Text transcribed from caption: #1036 PLUMBING IS THIS MONK’S SPECIALTY Holder of a plumber’s diploma, Brother Philip Girard of the Roman Catholic Redemptorist Order, helped install fixtures in the new monastery and church built by eight priests in the 43-family hinterland parish of Devonshire, Ontario. Valued at $60,000, the new structure was built by the priests at a cost of only $8,000. Every phase of the project from spreading gravel on the driveway to installing two giant hot water furnaces was done by a brother or priest.
