Title: Vass Family Papers
Description: Three generations of the Vass family served the Presbyterian Church in the United States and the Congo during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Vass III's wife (and daughter of medical missionary Eugene R. Kellersberger), Winifred Kellersberger (1917-2010), also served with her husband. This collection includes photographic prints, glass and film negatives, and lantern slides primarily documenting Vass II in the Congo, the American Presbyterian Congo Mission (APCM), the S.S. Description: Eugene R. Kellersberger (1888-1966) was a medical missionary to the American Presbyterian Congo Mission (APCM) and General Secretary of the American Mission to Lepers. This collection includes photographic materials related to Dr. Kellersberger's time as a medical missionary in the Belgian Congo and to his 1946 world and 1947-1948 Far East tours.
